Therefore, the relevance of grammar in language teaching stands out as the problem of this research. Considering that Libras is a natural language, the hypothesis raised is whether the teachers in training, during the practice of the supervised internship, perceived grammar in the teaching of the Libras subject as an element with characteristics specific to the language. To obtain the information contained in this work, it was necessary to search scientific articles, books, websites and documents from this university, thus constituting the research as bibliographic and documentary, in a qualitative approach. To collect data, a field survey was carried out, using a digital questionnaire on the Google Forms platform consisting of 5 questions with the participation of 10 teachers in training in the Literature/Library course at UFT. Este trabalho discorre sobre o ensino da gramática da Libras no contexto da educação básica, sob a perspectiva dos professores em formação inicial, com o objetivo de promover reflexões acerca do ensino da gramática na disciplina de Libras. Com isso, a problemática dessa pesquisa é, qual a relevância do ensino da gramática no ensino da língua, sob a perspectiva dos professores em formação inicial? Tendo em vista que, a Libras é uma língua natural, a hipótese levantada é, se os professores em formação, na prática de estágio supervisionado perceberam no ensino da disciplina de Libras, a gramática como elemento relevante na aquisição e uso formal da língua. A metodologia usada para obter as informações contidas neste trabalho foram necessárias buscas em artigos científicos, livros, sites e documentos desta universidade, constituindo assim a pesquisa como bibliográfica e documental, numa abordagem qualitativa.
