Resumo:
This paper studies how the stories in American comics can bring in your axiological discourse elements of American culture functioning as an instrument for the dissemination of ideas and cultural patterns of their place of origin, also exposes typically capitalist forms of discourse such as present in some of these magazines colonialism. This is a qualitative approach that uses the techniques of Barthes and Joly (2005) for image analysis. The sociological part of the research is guided by studies on culture, globalization and cultural hybridization, especially those developed by Stuart Hall (2005 ) and Canclini (2006 ) on these issues. The superheroes are seen in research as the personifications of the U.S. itself and its virtues are seen as those they would like to move into the world. The analyzes showed that the comics, being a cultural object which has the ability to reflect the desires, aspirations and cultural elements of the producers agent, act as a vehicle for the dissemination of cultural elements featuring symbols and ideas that show your place of origin, which in the case of this study is the United States.
