The student’s quality of life is directly related to their experience in personal and academic life associated to their lifestyle and cultural context prior to their access to the academic environment, which may interfere in the psychological, environmental, physical, educational and social spheres. It is highlighted the concern to investigate the conditions that interfere in the quality of life of the indigenous academics. Thus, the study aimed to analyze the quality of life of the indigenous students of the Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (Federal University of western Pará) – UFOPA. It was a field research characterized in a descriptive study with a quantitative approach where two questionnaires were applied, the first one had sociodemographic questions containing open and closed-ended questions and the second one developed by the World Health Organization (OMS) named Word Health Organizacional Quality of Life –WHOQOL – Bref. Then the data were collected and stored in Microsoft Office Excel 2016 spreadsheets. The first questionnaire was analyzed by means of descriptive statistical measures and by absolute and relative frequencies, the second questionnaire was processed by Excel in the production named Calculation scores and descriptive statistics of the WHOQOL-Bref through the same program to present the frequencies observing the percentages of the evaluation of quality of life. The lowest average score presented in the environment domain refers to the insufficient money to meet the needs of the research participants, classified as "very little". This domain requires greater attention, since it presents an average below that considered satisfactory according to the literature. Thus, it emphasizes the importance of a closer look and the need for measures to promote quality of life. O ingresso de indígenas na Universidade é um fenômeno recente e crescente. A qualidade de vida dos estudantes está relacionada diretamente a fatos vivenciados na vida pessoal e acadêmica, arrolados a seu estilo de vida e seu contexto cultural, antes do seu acesso ao meio acadêmico, que pode estar interferindo no âmbito psicológico, ambiental, físico, educacional e social. Destaca-se a preocupação de indagar as condições que interferem na qualidade de vida dos acadêmicos indígenas. Diante disso, o trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a qualidade de vida dos estudantes indígenas da Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará – Ufopa. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa de campo que se caracteriza em um estudo descritivo com abordagem quantitativa. Em que foram aplicados dois questionários sendo o primeiro com questões sociodemográficas contendo perguntas abertas e fechadas e o segundo desenvolvido pela Organização Mundial da Saúde – OMS, denominado Word Health Organizacional Quality of Life –WHOQOL – Bref. E posteriormente os dados foram coletados e armazenados em planilhas do programa Microsoft Office Excel 2016, sendo que o primeiro questionário foi analisado por meio de medidas estatísticas descritivas e por frequências absolutas e relativas, e o segundo questionário foi processado pelo próprio Excel utilizando as orientações da produção denominada Cálculo escores e estatísticas descritivas do WHOQOL-Bref por meio do mesmo programa para apresentação das frequências observando os percentuais da avaliação da qualidade de vida. O score médio menor apresentado do domínio do meio ambiente refere-se à insuficiência do dinheiro em satisfazer as necessidades dos participantes da pesquisa, classificado como “muito pouco”. Este domínio requer uma atenção maior, visto apresentar uma média abaixo da considerada satisfatória segundo a literatura.
