As part of the Project Natural Resources and Anthropology of Maritime, Riverside and Lake Societies of the Amazon: Studies on man's relationship with his environment in Fishery Societies, this is an exploratory study that aims to investigate the migratory process of fishing populations to the metropolitan region of Belém, trying to assess, preliminarily, the situation of the migrant in the new place of residence and work; rescue the introductory points on the axis between their sites of origin; and capture the current expectations of those wanted in this new locus. In this way, indicators are sought that can specifically define the mechanisms that pressure riverine and/or coastal fishermen to migrate; and, on the other hand, indicators of the impacts that are affecting the environmental resources of the ecosystems in which they directly shared. |
