In this work the pollen morphology of 29 species of the genus Cassia (Tourn.). L. (Leg. Caes.) occurring in the Brazilian Amazon. The adult floral buds were taken from samples existing in the Herbaria MG, IAN and INPA. The pollen grains were submitted to acetolysis and later measured, described and photomicrographed. In the descriptions we took into account mainly the size, shape, number of openings and ornamentation of the exine. It was found that the pollen grains of the species under study are 3- colored and range from small to medium, prolate to prolate-spheroidal and from slightly reticulate to reticulate surface.
