Showing through the bibliography researched that the library and the school librarian are powerful instruments of pedagogical support. A case study was also carried out in the library of the Raymundo Martins Vianna School, in order to know about the participation of the library in the teaching-learning process, in which the participation of the library in the pedagogical school process was verified through educational projects aimed at Reinforce the content seen in the classroom, promote the habit of reading and train responsible citizens. Based on the researches, it concludes that the school library can participate actively in the teaching-learning process of the schools, provided that there is a joint work between the librarian and the school community so that the role of the library is enhanced. Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o papel da biblioteca escolar no processo de ensino aprendizagem, compreender as competências do bibliotecário escolar nesse processo, falar a respeito da missão da biblioteca escolar, de sua infraestrutura e sobre a participação da comunidade na biblioteca. Mostrando através da bibliografia pesquisada que a biblioteca e o bibliotecário escolar são poderosos instrumentos de apoio pedagógico. Também foi realizado um estudo de caso na biblioteca da escola Raymundo Martins Vianna, com o objetivo de saber a respeito da participação da biblioteca no processo ensino-aprendizagem, no qual foi constatado a participação da biblioteca no processo pedagógico escolar através de projetos educativos que visam reforçar o conteúdo visto em sala de aula, promover o hábito da leitura e formar cidadãos responsáveis. Com base nas pesquisas conclui que a biblioteca escolar pode sim participar de forma ativa no processo de ensino-aprendizagem das escolas, desde que haja o trabalho conjunto entre o bibliotecário e a comunidade escolar para que o papel da biblioteca seja potencializado. 2017-09-13T13:54:41Z 2017-09-13T13:54:41Z 2017 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação AIRES, Paulo de Tarso de Souza.
