The field work was conducted on days 13/07, 09/09 and 27/11, 2010 between the dry and early rainy season, to characterize the hydrological/hydrodynamic, morphological and sedimentological processes, with the aid of a small boat fishing, a probe Condutctivity-and-Temperature-Depth (CTD), bottom sampler, an echosounder, current meters and an online data INMET. The weather presented abnormally close to the climatological normal, with average annual rainfall above average, with remnants of the performance of El Niño and the beginning of La Niña. The current followed the line of bore and presenting variations of direction and intensity according to the fluctuations of the tide and the morphology of the channel. The wind had to be inversely proportional to current, more intense in the afternoon, caused mainly by movements of air masses. Maguari Furo River shown the type dominated by tide is also classified as being of mesotidal. The salinity of the river in the Furo Maguari showed an abnormal pattern, with higher salinities at low tide, and having in general that the majority of profiles showing homogeneity with many low salinities due to the large volume of rainfall in previous months. According to the stratification of salinity showed almost homogeneous throughout the water column and can be classified as well mixed. The water temperature showed minimal variation both spatially and in time, showing no stratification. Maguari Furo River emerged possibly due to a fault, requiring geophysical data for their verification, characterized by a significant channel and displaying a gentle declivity between its downstream portion of the amount. And according to the analysis of sediments from Maguari Furo River classified as silt and sandy silt, with an extensive tidal flat and hydrodynamics of a high to very high. O furo do rio Maguari, localizado mais ao norte do município de Belém, é um sistema fluvial influenciado pela maré e talvez originado através de uma falha tectônica, exemplificada pela sua forma (NW-SE), e também reflete tanto as influências do rio Pará como das baías de Santo Antônio e do Guajará. Os trabalhos de campos foram realizados nos dias 13/07, 09/09 e 27/11 de 2010 entre o período seco e o início do chuvoso, para caracterização dos processos hidrológicos/hidrodinâmicos, morfológicos e sedimentológicos, como o auxílio de um pequeno barco, uma sonda Condutctivity-Temperature-and-Depth (CTD), um amostrador de fundo, uma ecossonda, um correntômetro e dados online do INMET. O clima apresentou-se de forma anormal, próximo da normal climatológica, com índices de pluviosidade acima da média, sendo resquícios da atuação do El Niño e ao início da La Niña. A corrente seguiu a orientação do furo e apresentando variações de direção e intensidade de acordo com as oscilações da maré e a morfologia do canal. O vento apresentou-se inversamente proporcional a corrente, sendo mais intensos na parte da tarde, causado principalmente pelos movimentos das massas de ar. O furo do rio Maguari se mostra do tipo dominado por maré é também classificamos como sendo de mesomaré. A salinidade no furo do rio Maguari mostrou um padrão anormal, com as maiores salinidades na vazante, e tendo no geral que a maioria dos perfis apresentando homogeneidade com salinidades muitos baixas devido ao grande volume de chuva nos meses anteriores. De acordo com a estratificação da salinidade se mostrou praticamente homogênea ao longo da coluna d’água, podendo ser classificado como Bem Misturado. A temperatura da água apresentou variação mínima tanto espacial quanto temporal, mostrando ausência de estratificação. O furo do rio Maguari surgiu possivelmente em decorrência de uma falha, necessitando de dados geofísicos para sua comprovação, caracterizado por um canal expressivo e exibindo um desnível topográfico suave existente entre sua porção de jusante a montante.
