In the course of this article, I presented the theoretical bases that I take as a basis, and present possibilities for the realization of the project that was applied in the 9th grade class of Elementary School at the Barão do Cairari School. O presente trabalho foi realizado com alunos do 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental nas aulas de Língua Portuguesa, com base no gênero argumentativo como recurso para o desenvolvimento de habilidades de reflexão crítica da leitura, produção textual e análise das mesmas, dentro desta perspectiva, temos como objetivo geral possibilitar aos alunos á posicionar-se como sujeito na prática da comunicação de seu cotidiano e os objetivos específicos; Aperfeiçoar as competências linguísticas, ou seja, o uso da gramática e desenvolvera prática da leitura e escrita, despertando a capacidade de questionamento, através da argumentação, e que na prática cotidiana os alunos percebam o grande valor do gênero argumentativo nas aulas de Língua portuguesa.
