Resumo:
The present Course Conclusion Paper aimed to analyze the insertion of the theme "Sex Education" in the political-pedagogical project and in the curriculum of an elementary school, early years, located in the city of Breves-PA. This research proposed to answer the following question: How is the theme “sex education” approached in the political-pedagogical project and in the curriculum (contents and practices) of an elementary school, early years, located in the municipality of Breves? The guiding questions related to this research problem were: How is the historical process of sexual education in Brazil? How are the contents and pedagogical practices characterized for the approach of the theme “sex education”? For its implementation, a bibliographic search was initially performed. Subsequently, we opted for a qualitative approach, taking as a type of research the case study in an elementary school in the urban area of Breves-PA. The technique used for data collection was the semi-structured interview, conducted with 05 teachers. To support the discussions of this research, we use the propositions of Figueiró (1996), Ribeiro (2004), Nunes and Silva (2000) Furlani (2011), Maistro (2009), Benites (2006), Louro (1997), Frison (2008). ), Egypto (2012). Three documents leading to national education were also analyzed, namely: National Education Guidelines and Bases Law, the National Curriculum Parameters and the 9 (nine) year National Curriculum Guidelines. The results of the research indicate that the sexual education in the researched school is inserted through the Pedagogical Political Project and the Curricular Proposal and is materialized in the classroom through the teaching practice. However, the sexual education we have is more related to the biological-hygienist and pedagogical aspects. Therefore, there is still a long way to go to achieve the emancipatory - or political approach, as some authors prefer to mention - of sexuality, since sexuality encompasses several aspects, beyond which they are already being worked on in school.
