The research was conducted in a school of the municipal school system of the city of Belém-Pará, with two subjects: a representative of the family (mother) and the school (teacher) of a student with ASD. Data production occurred through a semi-structured interview with the participants. The results show the absence of dialogue between family and school regarding the teaching and learning process of the student with ASD, as well as the lack of understanding about Autistic Spectrum Disorder, which can hinder the development of the student with ASD and its inclusion in the school space. An effective relationship between family and school is considered fundamental in the context of basic education for an inclusive education. A pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, apresenta como objetivo investigar a relação entre família e escola em relação ao processo de inclusão educacional do estudante com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) e suas contribuições para o desenvolvimento acadêmico e social desses estudantes. A investigação foi desenvolvida em uma escola da rede municipal de ensino do município de Belém-Pará, com dois participantes: um representante da família (mãe) e da escola (professor) de um estudante com TEA. A produção dos dados ocorreu por meio de uma entrevista semiestruturada realizada com os participantes. Os resultados evidenciam a ausência de diálogo entre família e escola em relação ao processo de ensino e aprendizagem do estudante com TEA, bem como a falta de compreensão acerca do Transtorno do Espectro Autista, o que pode dificultar o desenvolvimento do estudante com TEA e sua inclusão no espaço escolar.
