Resumo:
This research addresses Financial Education as a relevant topic that needs to be further discussed from an academic perspective, as people's financial education can contribute to the planning of the family budget and the development of the country's economy. In this sense, this work has as main objective to present a didactic- pedagogical practice of Financial Education developed in the context of mathematics classes. The research assumes that the person who goes through a Financial Education process can make budgetary decisions in a planned and conscious manner. The research has a qualitative and exploratory approach. It was developed in a public school in Castanhal-PA, in a class of 6th grade of elementary school, where the researcher carried out the subject of Supervised Internship. The didactic-pedagogical proposal was developed for four weeks and structured around Mathematical Literacy tasks. The investigative process took place during mathematics classes, but under the supervision of the mathematics teacher of the class. The records of the activities carried out in the classroom served as empirical material for the analyzes and discussions. The research showed that students are aware of the importance of planning the family budget and knowing how to deal with our money.
