The present work aims to provide a reflection on the importance of the idea of connecting the History of Mathematics with objects of mathematics knowledge taught in the classroom, from the conflicts of great mathematicians such as Cardano versus Tartaglia in the unfolding solution of the polynomial equations of the third degree and Newton versus Leibniz, in the development of integral differential calculus. Therefore, analyzing the mathematical conflicts that involved these scientists allows the teacher to work beyond the teaching of mathematics itself, as concepts of ethics and value building, in addition to making the classes more contextualized, pleasant, creative, and integrated into other disciplines. |
