Resumo:
Faced with the difficulties of traditional teaching methods and aiming to stimulate the teaching-learning process in Chemistry for high school, this production aimed to work and evaluate an RPG game (Role-Playing Game) as a pedagogical method in Organic Chemistry classes for classes in the 3rd year of high school at Colégio Antonio Lemos during the supervised internship period. The game's script was developed with adaptations of its rules, having its context and stories focused on the most recurrent organic functions and their uses in everyday life, thus aiming to draw the students' attention and develop their skills in this area of knowledge, then their performances were analyzed qualitatively through observations during the application of the game and quantitatively through their performances in a test applied later, however, there was a good development of the students during the game with promising results, with approximately 66% of these evaluated students hitting at least 80% of the test applied after the game, estimating a standard deviation of 0.834847. In this way, showing the RPG as a useful and alternative tool for teaching Chemistry in a more dynamic way.
