Addresses the process of control and evaluation of Strategic Planning applied in the University Library belonging to the Universidad Federal Rural da Amazônia (UFRA). Therefore, the research sought to know how does the process of control and evaluation occurs, having as general objective to understand the importance of this phase, having as specific objectives for the demonstration of the stages and instruments used for the preparation and execution of strategic planning, the description of the methodology used in the process, control, evaluation and identification of the main difficulties found in the execution of the short and medium term. For this result, a bibliographical and documentary research was carried out, together with field research of descriptive character with a qualitative approach. By means of the research, we conclude that the process of control and evaluation is characterized as a mechanism indispensable for the Strategic Planning to be really effective.
