It was developed through the observation of the school space and through the target audience’s meeting. Then, a questionnaire was applied to the Portuguese teachers referring to their methodologies in the classroom and, regarding their considerations in relation to the potentialities and difficulties identified in the student. The questionnaire was also carried out with the students from a chosen class, to check their experiences and skills, regarding their reading and writing production. It was concluded, then, with the intervention through a Didactic Sequence on the Textual Genre Argumentative Letter of Complaint and Request, plus the quantitative (questionnaires) and qualitative (student productions) results obtained in the data collection throughout the research.
