In this context, this research aimed at the use of demonstrative class as a didactic modality for the students' approach to the plant kingdom and the phytoremediation technique, which was carried out during the supervised curriculum internship III and IV, developed in IFAM Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas, Campus Manaus - Centre in the classes of the 2 year of high school integrated to the technician of information technology, mechanics, buildings and chemistry. A total of 157 male and female students aged 15 to 20 years. The methodology employed was qualitative in nature. A questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument, field notebook and participant observation. After the application of the previous questionnaire, the content proposed in our research with an expository class dialogue was started contextualizing the importance of plants in the daily life, mechanisms of absorption and conduction of substance by the plant and phytoremediation, Later, a demonstrative lecture on the conduction of substances by plants. At the end of the activities and as an evaluation students were asked to write a text using the botanical terms used during the classes and the application of an evaluation questionnaire. Among the results obtained with our research we realized that the students still had knowledge about phytoremediation technique and were very participative both in the demonstrative class and participation in the questionnaires. No ensino de Biologia, a Botânica é uma das áreas que apresenta grandes dificuldades de compreensão dos conteúdos pelos estudantes, sendo considerado por estes como exaustivos e monótomos, tem se tornado um desafio para professores que devem buscar formas diversificadas para a contextualização dos conteúdos de maneira a atrair e prender atenção desses estudantes. Nesse contexto, esta pesquisa propõe à utilização de aula demonstrativa como modalidade didática para a aproximação dos estudantes com o conteúdo de fisiologia vegetal e a técnica de fitorremediação, que foi realizada durante o estágio curricular supervisionado III e IV, desenvolvido no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Amazonas - IFAM, Campus Manaus - Centro, nas turmas do 2º ano do ensino médio integrado ao técnico de informática, mecânica, edificações e química. Participaram desta pesquisa 157 estudantes homens e mulheres com a faixa etária de 15 a 20 anos de idade. A metodologia empregada foi de natureza qualitativa. Utilizou-se questionário como instrumento de coleta de dados, caderno de campo e observação participante. Após a aplicação do questionário prévio, iniciou-se o conteúdo proposto em nossa pesquisa com aula expositiva dialogada contextualizando a importância das plantas no cotidiano, mecanismos de absorção e condução de substância pela planta e fitorremediação, posteriormente foi realizada aula demonstrativa sobre a condução de substâncias pelas plantas. Ao final das atividades e como avaliação foi solicitado que os estudantes redigissem um texto usando os termos botânicos utilizados durante as aulas e aplicação de um questionário avaliativo.
