The infant mortality rate and Brazil has a high quality, which requires a search
of factors that can influence this statistic, one of them as a disease that is a species of
age group. Diseases such as Lactose Intolerance and Cow's Milk Protein Allergy can
affect this age group and even cause the death of these individuals. In view of this, the
present work proposed to sensitize students of the 6th grade of elementary school,
through lectures, distribution of folders, proposed activities and questionnaires, related
to these two diseases, showing what are the causes, the symptoms and treatments
indicated for each of them. In the course of the study, it was possible to observe that
there was a significant increase in the perception of the students about these diseases,
which helps to detect and diagnose them as soon as possible, with the consequent
decrease of this rate. The present study proved to be effective in the sensitization of
the students, so that it was possible to observe the progress that was made with the
application of the methodology used.
