This work refers to retired teachers’ narratives: academic education and teaching stories. The investigation present in this work was qualitative, having as theoretician and methodological aspects a biographical approach. Our general objective is to understand the life stories of retired teachers who practiced teaching from 1980 to 2020 in the city of Humaitá-Amazonas. The investigation process favored the narratives, through audios via WhatsApp and the writing of retired teachers. We conclude that academic education and teaching intersect each other, which means that personal and professional life are inseparable and this was evidenced through the narratives of each retired teacher. By locating epistemological research paths with the history of academic education and teaching, it was possible to understand through this work how personal and professional lives are interconnected with the school routine, colleagues and students. Along this path, there are moments of challenges and difficulties, however, there are resistances and satisfaction until to walk for retirement. |
