Resumo:
According to several researches hydraulic-sanitary installations lead the ranking of pathologies of constructions. Thus, the study of pathologies is the fundamental tool for the identification and understanding of performance failures during the use of building components. When this study is focused on the stages of project development, it is possible not only corrective action, but also preventive action, reducing the costs of repairs and maintenance after the completion of the work. The analysis of pathologies in the hydrosanitary system and the relationship with the useful life of the buildings was made through a case study, where an investigation was carried out of the origin of the existing pathologies in the classroom block Engenheiro Nelson Ribeiro Porto of the Federal University of Amazonas. In this study, a survey of data related to occurrences of pathologies in this block was made to verify their correlation with possible design failures. The work made it possible to compare the opinion of the engineer responsible for the development of projects and the engineer responsible for building maintenance, aiming to verify the relationship between the steps and their influence on the life of the buildings of the University Campus. Through this, it was identified that the main problem that affects the life of campus buildings and hinders maintenance occurs due to communication failure between the project workers and the systems maintenance team, in addition to the absence of the availability and updating of projects.
