Resumo:
The present work aims to describe the conception of students in the first year of high school at the Professora Tereza dos Santos State School in relation to the causes that interfere in the learning of Physics contents. Therefore, this research has the following problem: what are the possible causes that interfere in the learning of Physics contents in the first year of high school at the aforementioned school? For data collection, a questionnaire with objective and subjective questions was used. The study was carried out with 105 students, totaling four first-year classes. After collection, the data were tabulated and analyzed, and several studies were used that discuss the causes that interfere in the teaching and learning of the discipline of Physics. With the information, it was possible to know what are the difficulties faced by the students, as the vast majority say that interpreting theory and using Mathematics are one of the main factors that interfere in the learning of contents. The research result indicates that it is necessary to change the way of evaluating the discipline, seeking to address the contents in a way that can be related to the students' reality, and also classes with reading practices and interpretation of physical concepts.
