Therefore, this research has the following problem: what are the possible causes that interfere in the learning of Physics contents in the first year of high school at the aforementioned school? For data collection, a questionnaire with objective and subjective questions was used. The study was carried out with 105 students, totaling four first-year classes. After collection, the data were tabulated and analyzed, and several studies were used that discuss the causes that interfere in the teaching and learning of the discipline of Physics. With the information, it was possible to know what are the difficulties faced by the students, as the vast majority say that interpreting theory and using Mathematics are one of the main factors that interfere in the learning of contents. The research result indicates that it is necessary to change the way of evaluating the discipline, seeking to address the contents in a way that can be related to the students' reality, and also classes with reading practices and interpretation of physical concepts. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo descrever a concepção dos alunos do primeiro ano do ensino médio da Escola Estadual Professora Tereza dos Santos em relação as causas que interferem na aprendizagem dos conteúdos de Física. Diante disso, esta pesquisa tem como problemática: quais as possíveis causas que interferem na aprendizagem dos conteúdos de Física no primeiro ano do ensino médio da referida escola? Para coleta dos dados fez-se o uso de questionário com perguntas objetivas e subjetivas. O estudo foi realizado com 105 alunos, totalizando quatro turmas do primeiro ano. Após a coleta, os dados foram tabulados e analisados, e foi recorrido a vários estudos que discutem as causas que interferem no ensino e aprendizagem da disciplina de Física. Com as informações foi possível saber quais são as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos alunos, pois a grande maioria diz que interpretar a teoria e usar a Matemática são um dos principais fatores que interferem na aprendizagem dos conteúdos.
