This research sought to identify how Physical Education teachers have been producing innovative practices in their work contexts. Qualitative research was conducted based on the principles of action research. Eighteen Physical Education teachers from schools in Manaus/AM participated in continuing education based on collective action oriented towards solving problems oriented in the school context. Four academics from the Physical Education course and two coordinators of continuing education also participated. For data production, field diaries produced by academics were used. Elements that are related to innovative practices and pedagogical disinvestment were identifi ed, such as school culture, the devaluation of Physical Education and the lack of resources. On the other hand, we observed an innovative and confrontational attitude on the part of teachers in search of appreciation for Physical Education and their teachi ng work. Continuing education proved to be a fruitful locus for work and collective reflection in search of solving everyday problems and sharing successful experiences. |
