This study aims to assess the level of process management maturity in a planning body of a higher education institution, based on the model proposed by Coimbra (2016). Seven dimensions were assessed, namely: leadership, governance, culture and people, information and knowledge, alignment with strategies and plans, and quality management in a planning body of a public higher education institution. The methodology used is descriptive and quantitative, including the application of an electronic questionnaire with 36 statements, applied to officials who have direct responsibility for the progress of processes, but who do not hold managerial or hierarchical positions, using a 7-point Likert scale. The maturity levels of the dimensions were classified according to their mean values and ranged from standardised to predictable. The process management in the analysed organisation was classified at the predictable level, indicating that the performance of its processes is statistically managed during execution.
