Resumo:
Açaí (Euterpe Oleracea), a fruit native to the Amazon region known for its nutritional, economic, and technological potential, has emerged as an object of growing interest in the scientific and economic fields. This interest is driven by its abundance in bioactive compounds and its multiple health benefits, as well as the economic and commercial potential associated with its growing global demand. Moreover, açaí presents significant sustainability aspects, with promising opportunities for utilizing its waste in sustainable materials, thereby contributing to more sustainable practices in the industry. This study aimed to develop a Technology Roadmap to explore and maximize the potential of açaí in various areas. The research covered strategic sectors such as health, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, and sustainability, using a comprehensive approach that included analyzing international patent databases, reviewing specialized media, and studying relevant scientific publications. The results revealed remarkable growth in scientific production and patent registrations related to açaí, especially in food formulations, dermocosmetics, pharmaceuticals, sustainable materials, and innovative technologies. These findings highlight the vast potential for application and innovation of this natural resource in strengthening local businesses, promoting significant advances in both technological development and environmental sustainability.
