Resumo:
The main objective of the work is to know the profile of the student entering the Libras Literature course at Ufam, focusing on the following areas: teaching and interpretation. This question persists among some new students who often arrive at the certainty of a thought and when they get to know the academic field they notice a significant difference. To this end, we will present as a basis for study and analysis the Pedagogical Political Project of the Literature-Libras Course /Ufam, among other theories. The qualitative research sampled deaf and hearing academics from different periods. Interviews were carried out in which, by answering the six proposed questions, it was possible to outline the identification of the proposed profile. The analysis of this data was concerned with demonstrating the thinking of interviews as faithfully as possible, based on Severiano (2016). We conclude that the profile of academics entering the course is not well defined, but the majority of them in their journey through the university show a love for teaching and an interest in additional training to work in the area of ​​interpretation.
