This research had the general objective of mapping the national scientific production about artificial intelligence on the economical areas from 2018 to 2022 – in which, a bigger participation of Microconomics, Macroeconomics, Tecnology Economics, Environmental Economics, International Economics and Capital Market areas was observed – to identify prints in national bulletins about the object. Therefore, this study whas guided by the following specific objectives: a) Quantifying the national scientific production about the object; b) Verifying the objectives highlighted on the researches about AI on the economical areas; c) Defining which regions of the country delivered most articles about the object; d) Making a comparison between the objects of other published articles, by economical area, about artificial intelligence. This is research is a descriptive one, and secondary data from CAPES’ bulletins portal were utilized regarding the Qualis classification of A1 to C in Economics, referring to the quadriennium 2017 – 2020. It was observed that the major selected articles fit on the Macroeconomics área. In regards of the regions with bigger participation in the authoring of prints about artificial intelligence in economics, the highlighted regions were the southeast and south, wich showed the majority of published articles. A pesquisa teve como objetivo geral realizar um mapeamento da produção científica nacional sobre Inteligência Artificial (IA) nas áreas de economia no período de 2018 a 2022 – em que se acabou verificando a maior participação das áreas de Microeconomia, Macroeconomia, Economia da Tecnologia, Economia do Meio-Ambiente, Economia Internacional e Mercado de Capitais – a fim de identificar os principais periódicos nacionais que apresentam publicações sobre o tema. Para isso, o estudo foi norteado pelos seguintes objetivos específicos: a) Quantificar as produções científicas nacionais acerca do tema; b) Verificar os objetivos destacados nos estudos em IA na área da Economia; c) Definir quais regiões do país apresentaram a maior quantidade de artigos acerca do tema estudado; d) Realizar uma comparação com os temas de outros artigos publicados, por área da Economia, em relação à Inteligência Artificial. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e foram utilizados dados secundários do portal de periódicos da CAPES considerando a classificação Qualis de A1 a C em Economia, referente ao quadriênio 2017 – 2020. Observou-se que a maioria dos artigos selecionados se enquadra na área de Macroeconomia.
