This research aims to promote knowledge about the linguistic cultural artifact within the Augusto Carneiro dos Santos State School, based on the authors Quadros (1997), Hall (1997), Strobel (2008), Skliar (2010). The work lists several elements belonging to deaf culture and how the linguistic cultural artifact is part of the subjectivity of the deaf teacher and how this artifact can help deaf students. The present approach is bibliographical, as it is necessary to relate it to the focus of the research, in which there is a concern regarding the understanding that deaf people need their own methodology. The contexts analyzed show that the deaf teacher, in an intense way, has as a basis the deaf identity and culture and, consequently, deaf students are able to acquire fluency and significantly improve their knowledge about sign language, because deaf people will learn the language naturally. Throughout life, deaf people were included because the deaf teacher was a role model and the deaf students observed and understood him deeply, as there was a mutuality in the experiences, which was also a challenge. The sign in Libras of linguistic cultural artifact is of great importance both for deaf students and for deaf teachers. |
