In Brazil, quilombos have their origin in two important movements, namely, the escape from slavery and land reorganization through agrarian reform projects, thus, it is noted that this social group has been constituted building a way of life in struggle for freedom in the face of oppressive aspects. It is observed, in a participatory way, that in the remaining Maruanum quilombo community in the state of Amapá, there is low schooling on the part of the residents, especially the older ones, their houses are mixed, masonry and wooden houses, without drinking water infrastructure or basic sanitation, the income comes from agriculture, fishing, culture, commerce and handicrafts which, in most cases, are carried out with knowledge passed down from generation to generation. In this way, the following guiding question was elaborated: how can ethnomathematics contribute to the empowerment of women who work as pottery in the remaining quilombo community of Maruanum? The development of this work emphasizes the importance of mathematics used in informal environments, emphasizing ethnomathematics, contributing to a mathematical education that can go beyond the disciplinary barriers of formal teaching environments. social groups, as well as being a space that promotes knowledge, even if informal and a way of survival, given the possibilities and opportunities that are presented to people, especially traditional people. The general objective of this work is to analyze how ethnomathematics, involved in the sale of earthenware, is used by earthenware from the quilombola community of Maruanum-AP as a form of social empowerment. o obtain the results, the following specific objectives were elaborated: To present conceptual and cultural aspects of ethnomathematics and its precursors; Explain the importance of cultural diversity in the teaching of ethnomathematics; Show the ethnomathematics present in the daily life of social groups; Diagnose which mathematical content is used by the dishwasher; Emphasize ethnomathematics in the construction of handcrafted chinaware made by chinaware makers in the community of Santa Luzia do Maruanum - AP. Therefore, in view of the low schooling of the chinaware, the elaboration of this work contributes with their own knowledge, enabling the understanding between some different ways of using mathematics, both for the chinaware and for this work and future works in the area. As comunidades remanescentes de quilombos em geral, apresentam no seu contexto histórico uma marca da resistência ao regime escravocrata e segregacionista, pelo qual os negros foram submetidos por séculos. No Brasil, os quilombos tem sua origem em dois importantes movimentos, sendo eles, a fuga da escravidão e de reorganização das terras através de projetos da reforma agrária, assim, nota-se que este grupo social tem se constituído construindo um modo de vida na luta por liberdade frente aos aspectos opressores. Observa-se, de maneira participante, que na comunidade remanescente de quilombo do Maruanum no estado do Amapá, há baixa escolaridade por parte dos moradores, especialmente os de mais de idade, suas casas são do tipo mistas, de alvenaria e casas de madeira, sem infraestrutura de água potável ou saneamento básico, a renda é proveniente da agricultura, da pesca, da cultura, comércio e do artesanato que, na maioria dos casos, são realizados com conhecimentos passados de geração em geração. Desse modo, foi elaborada a seguinte pergunta norteadora: de que forma a etnomatemática poderá contribuir com o empoderamento das mulheres que atuam como louceiras na comunidade remanescente de quilombo do Maruanum? O desenvolvimento deste trabalho ressalta a importância da matemática usada em ambientes informais, dando ênfase a etnomatemática, contribuindo para uma educação matemática que possa ir além das barreiras disciplinares dos ambientes formais de ensino, aqui destacamos e alcançamos a bandeira da matemática construída e divulgada por diversos grupos sociais, como sendo também, um espaço promotor do conhecimento, mesmo que informal e de uma forma de sobrevivência, diante das possibilidades e oportunidades que são apresentadas aos povos, destaque para os povos tradicionais. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é analisar como a etnomatemática, envolvida na venda de louças de barro, é utilizada por louceiras da comunidade quilombola do Maruanum-AP como forma de empoderamento social. Para obtenção dos resultados, elaborou-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: Apresentar aspectos conceituais e culturais da etnomatemática e quais seus precursores; Explicar a importância das diversidades culturais no ensino da Etnomatemática; Mostrar a Etnomatemática presente no cotidiano de grupos sociais; Diagnosticar quais conteúdos matemáticos são usados pelas louceiras; Ressaltar a Etnomatemática na construção de louças artesanais feitas pelas louceiras na comunidade de Santa Luzia do Maruanum – AP.
