Resumo:
This work aims to analyze the Khan Academy platform as an innovative methodology in the teaching and learning process in the discipline of mathematics. cognitive learning functionality in the gamification process. In the second part of the work, we highlight the story of how Khan Academy came about and the platform's features and functionality. The methodology used was bibliographic research with emphasis on the qualitative research approach. Therefore, we argue that digital platforms have an immense importance aimed at learning different contents and in particular the teaching of mathematics for making concrete theoretical bases of this area of human knowledge. Thus, we conclude that the use of the Khan Academy platform, in addition to providing the understanding and internalization of various mathematical concepts, also offers a differentiated teaching process such as dynamic, interactive and immersive learning, making the subject the protagonist of his own knowledge, which is one of the main characteristics and competencies of BNCC.
