Resumo:
The National Program of Educational Technology - PROINFO is a program with the objective of promoting the pedagogical use of information technology in the public basic education network. The program takes computers, digital resources and educational content to schools. On the other hand, states, Federal District and municipalities must guarantee the adequate structure to receive laboratories and train educators to use the technologies. This paper aims to analyze the effectiveness of PROINFO, in terms of digital inclusion and pedagogical support, in primary schools in the final years, in the municipality of Gurupi-Tocantins. The research is qualitative and quantitative in nature with data collection through bibliographical and documentary research, questionnaires to students and semi-structured interviews with Municipal Education Secretary, directors, coordinators, managers and teachers. For data analysis, the techniques of content analysis and triangulation were used. It is evidenced that the Municipality of Gurupi has the technological resources, that is to say, laboratories equipped, although sometimes, not so modern, that are placed at the disposal of the schools and, consequently, of the students and teachers. However, in general, such laboratories are not used to fully meet the original objectives of the program, mainly because of the lack of adequate training of teachers. According to the results of the interviews and questionnaires, there are possibilities for improvement in many ways. It is necessary to reorganize and direct the use of technological resources of PROINFO as a pedagogical tool, so that it can reflect in teaching-learning. Frequent use of these resources by students and the community can make the school a center for disseminating digital inclusion. It is not enough to have machines and make different use of what was proposed or simply not to use. In analyzing the effectiveness of the National Educational Technology Program (PROINFO) in the Municipality of Gurupi-TO, it was concluded that the Program is partially effective in fulfilling only the original objectives of the program, namely: digital and serve as a pedagogical support tool and, therefore, does not satisfactorily meet the students of the final years of Elementary School.
