Resumo:
In this text, the result of a qualitative field research that aims to develop activities using an application available on smartphones called Simplicando, which was created by a student during his Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC), in 2018, is presented. at the Universidade Federal do Tocantins - UFT in Arraias / TO. The target audience of this research was ninth year students of a school in the state network of Campos Belos-GO and the objective was to verify if after developing activities using an application the students felt motivated to learn some Mathematics content available in it and if they felt or not difficulties in access and functionality available in the application. As a theoretical basis, the actors Kenski (2003) and Frota; Borges (2004) to discuss technologies, the use of the smartphone was used (Marçal et al, 2010) and the “Simplificando” Campos (2018). The result was positive, where 92% of students felt motivated to solve the mathematical calculations in it. Because it is easy to handle and understand, it can be used as a pedagogical tool to assist the teacher in the applicability of the available content. It is expected that in the future the application “Simplifying” will become a methodological tool that helps the teacher in the didactic and pedagogical issues, thus taking the technological resources to the classroom both in Elementary and High School.
