The work, based on the poetic work of Ruy Espinheira Filho, poet from Bahia who in his poems
brings feelings about his lived places, aims to relate Literature to Geography, showing literature
as a contribution to geographic education and potential for the area of knowledge of Applied
Human and Social Sciences, defined by the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC). Thus,
understanding the importance of classes with broader arrangements, the article seeks to
encourage the use of literature as one of the sources of knowledge that should be developed
transversally to the teaching of curricular components integrated into areas of knowledge.
Considering that the literature makes it possible to join the various curricular components in
discussions that facilitate the visualization of various problematizations, its use facilitates the
development of competences and skills defined by the BNCC. The work of Ruy Espinheira
Filho, here brought through collections of poems published in 2012 and 2017 and representing
his poetry since the 1960s, is presented as an example of the richness of relationships that
literature, the lyrical genre being used here, has for the development of historical, geographical
and social issues, in addition to the development of the students' cultural repertoire. |
