A qualitative approach was used, the data triangulation method and, as data collection instruments, bibliographic and documentary research and a structured (written) interview were used. The implement ation of emergency remote teaching (ERE) at UNITINS took place as an “action in experiment” due to the pandemic context. The main challenges related to the ERE process, in the analyzed period, were: difficulties in adapting to emergency remote teaching, th e methodologies used by the professors were not entirely satisfactory, according to the students' evaluation; both teachers and students had difficulties using the Educ@ Platform. With regard to students' access to digital technologies, the lack of technol ogical devices and access to an internet network with a stable, reliable and unlimited connection were the main limitations reported. It was observed, as positive aspects, that ERE brought a new form of learning mediated by the use of digital technologies, namely, hybrid teaching and other formats mediated by digital technologies. In conclusion, therefore, it is necessary to invest in public policies aimed at including TDIC's in higher education, with the objective of reducing digital exclusion and teacher training, seeking digital literacy, training students to use digital technologies. Diante da crise provocada pela pandemia da COVID-19, na qual as instituições de educação superior tiveram que paralisar a oferta de cursos presenciais, a presente pesquisa buscou analisar como que ocorreu o processo de implementação do ensino remoto emergencial na UNITINS, no âmbito da pandemia da COVID-19. Utilizou-se da abordagem qualitativa, o método de triangulação de dados e, como instrumentos de coleta de dados, foram utilizadas pesquisas bibliográfica e documental e realização de uma entrevista estruturada (escrita). A implementação do ensino remoto emergencial (ERE) na UNITINS ocorreu como uma “ação em experimento” em razão do contexto pandêmico. Os principais desafios relacionados ao processo de ERE, no período analisado, foram: dificuldades para a adaptação ao ensino remoto emergencial, às metodologias utilizadas pelos docentes não foram totalmente satisfatórias, de acordo com a avaliação de alunos; tanto professores quanto estudantes tiveram dificuldades para utilizar a Plataforma do Educ@. No que diz respeito ao acesso dos discentes às tecnologias digitais, a falta de dispositivos tecnológicos e acesso a uma rede de internet com conexão estável, confiável e ilimitada foram as principais limitações relatadas. Observaram-se, como aspectos positivos, que ERE trouxe uma nova forma de aprendizagem mediada pelo uso das tecnologias digitais, quais sejam, o ensino híbrido e outros formatos mediados pelas tecnologias digitais.
