Resumo:
The present study describes emergency remote teaching (ERE) from the perspective of students at a public university in Northern Brazil. Thus, it dialogues and compares with the results of several authors who contributed to the characterization and understanding of the educational scenario in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic and contribute to understanding the challenges and overcoming challenges faced by a bunch of students in higher education institutions. For this, a descriptive methodology was used that combined quantitative and qualitative data, with the adoption of an electronic form to investigate the perception of university students from two university courses at the Federal University of Pará, Bragança Campus. It was found that the ERE presented a series of challenges to the university population, requiring evaluation, discussion and the search for new strategies to mitigate the negative effects for a quality and inclusive university education.
