The present work had as main objective to investigate and analyze the use of dictionary in the classes of Portuguese Language of Elementary Education in two schools of Araguaína. This research was carried out at Luiz Augusto Parish School and CAIC School - Jorge Humberto Camargo. There were 10 Portuguese language teachers for data collection. Such research is qualitative, quantitative and also bibliographic nature. To reach this goal, we used as a methodological research resource, a questionnaire obtained through the book by Hernández (1989). We have as theoretical support authors based on studies in relation to the lexicon as: Hernández (1989), (Welker 2006), (Krieger 2006), (Vázquez, 2010), (Isquerdo and Barros (2010), among other authors who study Lexicography.The analysis of the data showed that the teachers interviewed have some knowledge regarding the dictionary; the teachers know how important this didactic tool is.However 50% of them have revealed that they have no knowledge of Lexicography.In this way, the present study emphasizes the importance of exploring the use of the dictionary in Elementary School during Portuguese Language classes, a good reflection tool that should be used in the student teaching and learning process. |
