This research deals with the role of assessment in Early Childhood Education: preschool, as it
is part of the school routine, contributing to the learning process. Thus, assessment is essential
to promote the gradual development of the student, and it is increasingly necessary to look for
assessment methods that achieve this development. So, the objective specifically is for
preschool teachers to understand assessment as a tool to improve learning in Early Childhood
Education and which assessment methods are used by them to make this learning happen. To
carry out this work, a research was carried out in books and articles that deal with the theme
and, later, a field research with the subjects mentioned above. It was concluded that the
evaluation in preschool, although it is considered a complex task, is recognized as a means to
provide the students' development, and to provoke pedagogical changes according to the
presented needs. |
