And also on the use of games as a methodological proposal for the teaching of mathematics. The problem question was expressed in the sense of knowing what are the Tabmatic's contributions to learning the four basic operations. The main objective was to test in the classroom the didactic potentialities of the same, and to identify how the students carried out the operations before the manipulation of the game. The application of this game took place in the form of a workshop at the State School Professor Alfredo Nasser located in Araguaína - TO (Brazil), with eighth grade students from elementary school. It was observed during the application of the workshop that students feel motivated to study mathematics when the dynamics of the class involves the playful. Este trabalho traz apontamentos de algumas das causas das dificuldades de aprendizagem matemática no Ensino Fundamental. E também sobre o uso de jogos como proposta metodológica para o ensino da matemática. A questão problema foi expressa no sentido de saber quais são as contribuições do Tabmatic para aprendizagem das quatro operações básicas. O objetivo principal foi testar em sala de aula as potencialidades didáticas do mesmo, e identificar como os alunos efetuaram as operações diante da manipulação do jogo. A aplicação desse jogo se deu na forma de oficina na Escola Estadual Professor Alfredo Nasser localizada em Araguaína – TO (Brasil), com alunos do oitavo ano do Ensino Fundamental. Foi observado durante a aplicação da oficina que os alunos sentem-se motivados a estudarem matemática quando a dinâmica da aula envolve o lúdico. Verificou-se que uma parte dos alunos não dominavam as operações básicas, e a operação que apresentou maior dificuldade foi a divisão.
