Resumo:
The present work is part of the research project on "Women in the labor market: The UFT institution". The study proposes to analyze the transformations of women throughout the history of humanity, considering the model of capitalist development implanted in Brazil, related to the gender inequality and its impact during the insertion of women in the labor market. Studies demonstrate the evolution and the increase of the insertion of the female presence in the labor market, where it was perceived that there is still a question of discrimination, a reality that can be observed today, since the impact directly reflects on the social relations and consequently on the sexual division of labor. The objective of the study is to identify with the UFT academics that are inserted in the labor market, what are the main difficulties faced in their work places and what have been their strategies of overcoming and coping with these difficulties. The research method used was set up as a bibliographical and field research, the result of which allowed us to analyze the relationship that exists between the insertion of these women in the workplace and how they have influenced their academic life and vice versa, in order to analyze the characteristics of job placement in higher education in progress. Another method of investigation was through a quantitative research, in order to analyze the profile of the academics, and the same was done with ten academics, in which it is perceived that they present few difficulties regarding their insertion in the labor market.
