Obligatory curricular training was conducted at the Veterinary Hospital of the
Veterinary School and Animal Science of the Federal University of Goiás (HV-EVZ-UFG),
located in the Campus II - Samambaia, Goiânia / GO, from 3 November 2014 to 16 January
2015, the Medical and Surgical Clinic area of Small Animals, totaling 345 hours. In this
period were attended 110 clinical cases and were monitored for 27 surgical cases. The trainees
were divided into sectors, which accompanied the Veterinarians residents in attendance,
making the history, physical examination and collection of biological samples, where
permitted, and still follow surgical procedures, from the preoperative to the postoperative
period, and the release the patient by acompanhemnto the veterinarian anesthesiologist. This
paper describes the activities developed during the stage and describes three cases followed at
the HV-EVZ-UFG. The stage was very important because it allowed the integration of
clinical and surgical practice in daily work which is extremely necessary for proper
qualification of the student as it is the sole responsibility of the veterinarian the
implementation of clinical medicine practice and animals that surgical allow contribute to the
promotion and the Animal Health welfare. |
