The Agricultural family school of Porto Nacional was created in 1994 on the initiative of a non-governmental organization (NGO), the Community Health, Development and Education - COMSAÚDE, to meet the demand of the children of farmers in the municipality of Porto Nacional. The organization was already carrying out a Popular Education work with the community, learning about a school model that allowed young peasants to continue to live in the countryside and at the same time to have access to adequate schooling, the Center for Alternative Technologies (CTA) To the NGO, sent four collaborators to go to Espírito Santo to learn about the experience of the EFA of the Educational and Promotional Movement of the State of Espírito Santo (MEPES) to implement one of these schools in the municipality, which was completed in 1994. The aforementioned institution is the object of study of the present research, which deals specifically with the Community Time of the students of the year 2016. In this perspective has as general objective to analyze the development of educational activities, concerning the Community Time of the high school students of the 3rd and 4th year of Integrated High School - Agricultural Technician. Methodological procedures included a bibliographic survey, questionnaires, visits to families in rural properties, monitoring of educational activities in the EFA, analysis and tabulation of the data obtained in the field and writing of the final text. Among the results obtained there is a trend of increasing the untying of young peasants from the historical practices that make up the life of their families, there is discontent among the elders because many of the va lues are lost, the young people claim that in the field there are few Prospects for the future and see opportunities for professional growth in the city. Despite the findings that possibly refer to half of the sample analyzed, the other part demonstrates the value of the field as a productive environment and where it intends to invest its work to help parents and to believe that their technical training can contribute to generate income and better living conditions for your family. In this way the EFA of Porto Nacional has been contributing to promote the transformation of the Tocantins' field, since education plays a fundamental role in this process, through significant educational practices for students, such as training that promotes the professionalization of the rural worker.
