Collective means of transport are important components for the growth and development of
societies, especially when transport is accessible and appropriate for all people. Thus, we have
as objectives: to analyze the functioning of collective transportation in the city of Santarém
and the difficulties faced by the inhabitants of the Mapiri neighborhood in their daily commute,
to know the municipal public policies aimed at attending the population of collective
transportation users in Santarém, to identify the routes and routes of the bus lines that serve the
population of the neighborhood of Mapiri and know the level of satisfaction of users of public
transport in the neighborhood of Mapiri. The methodology consists of bibliographic review and
documentary research in the institutions that are responsible for collective transportation in the
city and semi-structured interviews with leaders of the neighborhood of Mapiri and users of
collective transportation. Thus, to know the characteristics of the profile of the Urban Urban
Transportation System that serves the Mapiri neighborhood is of fundamental importance,
aiming to diagnose their needs and suggesting measures and proposals for a better quality of
life for the population of this neighborhood that is the object of study of this work. |
