The use of free educational software as a facilitating tool of the teaching-learning process
became necessary from the moment when public policies adopted projects to implement
computer labs in schools. This action triggered the need to use technologies in the
classroom. Given this context, this work aimed to use the free software Gcompris as a
teaching-learning tool, in the formation of reading and writing, in the curricular activities of
elementary school students in a municipal school in the city of Santarém-Pará. The work
was carried out during the activities of the Institutional Project of Teaching Initiation
Scholarship - PIBID, of the Degree in Educational Informatics of the Federal University of
Western Pará. The activities were carried out with 09 (nine) students and pedagogical
coordinators of a school. during a nine-week development of the Reading and Writing
Project in a room prepared with computers and play objects. It was verified through the use
of the tool that it contributes to the construction of meaningful learning of the target group
and provided improvement in the teaching and technological insertion in the school. |
