This research proposed answering the following main question: What are the contributions of recreational activities carried out in a shelter in the Breves/PA city for the development/training of children in attendance? The guiding questions linked to this research problem were: Does the context of the institutional shelter of Breves/PA enable child development through the realization of recreational activities? In what spheres of human formation is this development perceptible? To achieve this, a bibliographic research was initially conducted. Subsequently, the qualitative approach was chosen, and the type of research was the case study carried out in an institutional host unit of the urban area of the city of Breves-PA. The technique of data collection was the semi-structured interview, were applied with 01 (one) Educational Coordinator, 01 (one) pedagogue, 04 (four) Caregivers/Teachers, 01 (one) Child and 01 (one) adolescent welcomed. To substantiate the discussions of this research, we used four categories, which are: absence of toys and pedagogical materials; Low frequency of recreational activities and games in the free time of the welcomed; Influence of ludic activities on child development of children and adolescents welcomed; and lack of adequate space for the practice and realization of games and recreational activities. The results of the research indicate that the contributions of recreational activities to the development/training of children in attendance are undeniable, which, through play, has the opportunity to develop physical, psychological, cognitive, Socially and affectively, among other aspects. Although it was found that the games in the context of the shelter researched did not occur in a daily, organized and planned way, it was perceived that the playful practices when performed provide for child development. O presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso objetivou analisar as contribuições das atividades lúdicas realizadas em um abrigo no município de Breves/PA para o desenvolvimento / formação das crianças em atendimento. Esta pesquisa propôs responder ao seguinte questionamento principal: Quais as contribuições das atividades lúdicas realizadas em um abrigo no município de Breves/PA para o desenvolvimento / formação das crianças em atendimento? As questões norteadoras atreladas a esse problema de pesquisa foram: O contexto do abrigo institucional de Breves/PA propicia o desenvolvimento infantil através da realização de atividades lúdicas? Em quais âmbitos da formação humana esse desenvolvimento é perceptível? Para sua concretização, inicialmente foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica. Posteriormente, foi escolhida a abordagem qualitativa, sendo que o tipo de pesquisa foi o estudo de caso, realizado em uma unidade de acolhimento institucional da zona urbana do município de Breves-PA. A técnica de coleta de dados foi a entrevista semiestruturada, foram aplicadas com 01 (uma) coordenadora, 01 (uma) pedagoga, 04 (quatro) cuidadoras/educadoras 01 (uma) criança e 01 (um) adolescente acolhido. Para fundamentar as discussões desta pesquisa, utilizamos quatro categorias, sendo estas: Ausência de brinquedos e materiais pedagógicos; Baixa frequência de atividades lúdicas e jogos no tempo livre dos acolhidos; Influência das atividades lúdicas no desenvolvimento infantil das crianças e adolescentes acolhidos; e Falta de espaço adequado para a prática e realização de jogos e atividades lúdicas. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam que são inegáveis as contribuições das atividades lúdicas para o desenvolvimento / formação das crianças em atendimento, as quais, através da brincadeira tem a oportunidade de desenvolver-se física, psicológica, cognitiva, social e afetivamente, dentre outros aspectos.
