Urban Public Transportation (TPU) is an important parameter of a population's quality of life. However, population and demographic expansion in Brazilian cities causes serious problems in providing a quality TPU. An important aspect of improving TPU quality is analyzing its accessibility (walking distance for boarding or disembarking in urban transport). Therefore, the objective was to analyze the accessibility by public transport to the UFPA campus, verifying which areas of the municipalities of belém, Ananindeua and Marituba are being served, or not, by the current bus lines. For this purpose, GIS geoprocessing tools were used, through the Qgis software, to make the data nano composed by the itinerary of the 21 lines that serve the university in the directions of (university to neighborhoods) and back (neighborhoods to university). ). Then the concept of accessibility of Ferraz and Torres (2004) was applied and the areas of good (<300m), regular (300 to 500m) and bad (> 500m) at municipal, neighborhood and level of public transport lines. The main results show that: (i) the farther from the university campus the lower the level of accessibility; (ii) Belém has better accessibility (33% good) and (13% regular) in RMB, while Marituba has the worst (91% poor accessibility); (III) The neighborhoods of Belém that have the highest percentage of area with good and regular accessibility to UFPA are Batista Campos, Campina, Old Town, Condor and Nazaré and the neighborhoods with the lowest percentage of area with good and regular accessibility to UFPA are Águas Lindas , Aurá, Guanabara, Maracacuera and São Clemente and; (iv) nine large areas were identified in the urban area of Belém that do not have direct accessibility to UFPA.
