Resumo:
This study aimed to analyze the identity of black teachers in Basic Education in the municipality of Tracuateua-PA. To this end, we elaborate the following research problem: How the identity of black teachers was/is being built in Basic Education in the municipality of Tracuateua-PA? The study was based on the qualitative approach research, with application in field research, the data collection instrument was the semi-structured questionnaire. The sample consisted of 15 (fifteen) black teachers. The data collected were analyzed from the analysis of ideological discourse (BAKHTIN/VOLOCHÍNOV, 2014), emphasizing the most expressive discourses. The results show that the black teachers of Tracuateua in northeastern Pará identified themselves as black women (black women and brown), their identities were built in the midst of a social reality marked by the relationships of racism discrimination and segregation. This study also reveals that the school is permeated by racism and discrimination, experienced daily by the subjects involved in the educational process. The main conclusion of this study reveals that some black women and teachers suffered discrimination and prejudice during their lifetime, this marked the construction of their ethnic identityand made them understand the importance of the fight for an anti-racist education.
