This work deals with activities developed to introduce Geometry concepts to Early Childhood Education students. Our interest in the subject was based on the understanding that mathematical concepts are not used as mathematical literacy, due to factors such as: lack of understanding by teachers and inadequacy of teaching materials. In this sense, we aim to introduce the concepts of equality and similarity from the development of visual and tactile perceptions, in the manipulation of geometric and everyday objects. Thus, our objective is: to relate the structures of geometric shapes and their nomenclature, with the shapes and names of everyday objects, to introduce the concepts of classification and comparison, with an emphasis on the development of visual, tactile and cultural perception, through the use of tactile box, as a didactic resource. To support our conjectures about the learning process, we will work on theories of cognition, the relationships developed by students to assimilate everyday elements and their social interactions. As a methodological development, we will use materials composed of miriti to introduce cultural elements into school activities. As a result of this work, we hope to contribute to the sensory development of students and their geometric perceptions of everyday spaces and utensils. |
