Parkour isanacyclicmodalitythatinvolvesthe use oftheindividual'sown body, withdifferentmovementsthat trigger mechanismsofmusclestrengthandpowerthatcanbeunderstood, in additionto a mereentertainment for its practitioners. The researchtookplace over twodays, in whichanthropometricrecordsweretaken, as well as theexecutionofphysicaltestswith 8 male individuals (21 ± 4.17) yearsold, withatleast 2 yearsofpractice in thatactivity. The individuals in thisstudywerepreviouslyinstructedaboutthe procedures andsignedaninformedconsent form. The referredparticipated in standardizedtestssuch as armflexionandextension, 1-minute sit-up, vertical jump, horizontal jump and medicine ball. In abdominal strength/endurance, 62.5% wereconsidered "excellent", 37.5% had "good" or "average" values. In the vertical jump, alltheresultswere “excellent” and in the horizontal jump, 4 subjects are in the “verygood” range, 1 subject in the “good” range and 3 subjects in the “regular” range. In thissense, it canbeconcludedthat parkour appearstodevelopstrength/power in its practitioners.
