The purpose of this article is to make considerations about its functions of the pedagogical coordinator, discussing the aspects that involve its daily action in the school environment. This intention is justified from the perspective of understanding it as a fundamental agent in the school routine, since it must seek the integration of all those involved in the teaching and learning process. From the methodological point of view this article is characterized as a bibliographical review, through research in national sources, which consisted of research papers published in periodicals, articles and books on the functions of pedagogical coordination. It is understood that the Pedagogical Coordinator in the development of his / her functions and relevance in the school space, can contribute significantly to the change of this panorama, acting in a reasoned and democratic way in the school.
