In the history of mankind, we see almost in every temporal space women fighting for
their rights. These exhibits have records of documents, stories, photos, music, movies and even
today as women viewed in search of this space everywhere that are occupied by men without
any restrictions. In the ballroom dance is no different. Until today, the traditional method of
teaching in this mode is that of male driving, the rider is not allowed to move the dance,
restoring only the role of being led. Such an observation, which is often unquestioned by
teachers and students and reproduced by younger teachers, is seen as a “traditional” way to
learn / learn to dance in the ballroom. In this particularity, the objective of this research is to
create a methodology for the application of improvisation techniques in Zouk dance hall, based
on the principles of gestures and movements that are used, however, without other technical
forms of dance. |
