The methodology used in carrying out this research was initially carried out a bibliographical survey to better understand the theme to be discussed, then from the readings and reflections on the role of the pedagogical coordinator in the school space to identify the consequences of the absence of the pedagogical coordinator in the school it was started to be written with the help of the advisor., sought theoretical support in authors such as Libâneo (2004); Vasconcellos (2002); Orssolom (2006), among others, to understand the importance of the pedagogical coordinator in the school environment. The results indicate that the work of the pedagogical coordinator is a very arduous task and needs a lot of commitment, responsibility, companionship, availability and partnership, in order to carry out a quality work and contribute to the formation of teaching and learning of students, teachers, and community. generally. O presente trabalho é um estudo bibliográfico, que tem como objetivo geral compreender qual o papel do coordenador pedagógico no ambiente escolar. Como objetivos específico, identificar quais as atribuições e competências de um coordenador pedagógico, analisar as consequências da ausência do coordenador pedagógico na escola. A metodologia utilizada na realização desta pesquisa inicialmente foi feito um levantamento bibliográfico para compreender melhor o tema a ser discorrido, em seguida a partir das leituras e reflexões sobre o papel do coordenador pedagógico no espaço escolar para identificar as consequências da ausência do coordenador pedagógico na escola., buscou-se aporte teórico em autores como Libâneo (2004); Vasconcellos (2002); Orssolom (2006), dentre outros, para compreender a importância do coordenador pedagógico no âmbito escolar.
